Microcredentials at EU-GIFT universities. From implementation to recognition. University of Geisenheim, Germany

June 26th to July 3rd, 2026

The Staff Week focuses on micro-credentials and the digitalization at EU-GIFT universities. Its main objectives are to map existing offerings and to define a common framework for further micro-credentials within the EU-GIFT network. We therefore kindly ask all participants to bring one or two examples of existing micro-credentials from their institution. These examples will serve as a basis for comparing formats, learning outcomes and quality measurement of lifelong learning at each university. Together, we will identify shared needs and themes in working sessions—such as recognition procedures and digital certification. The programme will also feature keynotes from other universities showcasing their approaches to micro-credentials. We warmly invite two representatives from each EU-GIFT university—ideally colleagues working in the field of lifelong learning and digitalization—to participate in the Staff Week. The accompanying programme will be held in conjunction with Staff Week “Innovative Approaches to Services for Students and Staff at EU-GIFT Universities”, which will take place at the same time.”
