EU-GIFT representatives attend the opening ceremony of the 2026–2027 academic year at the University of La Rioja

The University of La Rioja welcomed representatives of the EU-GIFT alliance from Eszterházy Károly Catholic University in Hungary and the University of Verona in Italy during the official opening ceremony of the 2026–2027 academic year

The University of La Rioja held the official opening ceremony of the 2026–2027 academic year on Wednesday, 16 September. The ceremony was presided over by the Rector of the University of La Rioja, Eva Sanz Arazuri, and the President of the Government of La Rioja, Gonzalo Capellán.

The event was also attended by three representatives of EU-GIFT, the alliance of European higher education institutions whose main objective is to jointly develop a strategy focused on excellence in teaching and research, particularly in the fields of viticulture, high-quality food products and sustainable agriculture.

The EU-GIFT representatives attending the ceremony were Ilona Pajtók-Tari, Rector of Eszterházy Károly Catholic University, together with Hajnalka Csáfor, Vice-Rector for Education, and Giandomenico Orlandi, Vice-Rector for International Relations at the University of Verona.
