EU-GIFT joins San Mateo celebrations in Logroño

Logroño. From 20 to 25 September

The EU-GIFT European University Alliance was present at San Mateo 2026 through the University of La Rioja, bringing the Alliance closer to the local community and raising awareness of the opportunities offered by European university cooperation

From 20 to 25 September 2026, EU-GIFT was represented at La Terraza de LA RIOJA, one of the meeting points of Logroño’s San Mateo festivities, located in the central Paseo del Espolón.

Through the participation of the University of La Rioja, EU-GIFT gained significant visibility throughout the event, with the Alliance’s identity featured across the venue and in different communication channels. The initiative was designed to promote the activities of the University of La Rioja within EU-GIFT and to showcase the Alliance’s work in areas such as education, research, mobility and knowledge transfer.

The event provided an excellent opportunity to introduce EU-GIFT to a broad local audience in an informal and accessible setting, highlighting how cooperation between European universities can create new opportunities for students, staff, researchers and society as a whole.

EU-GIFT’s presence was visible on the event’s main graphic materials, including the photocall and institutional displays, alongside the University of La Rioja. The communication campaign also extended to print, audiovisual and digital media throughout the San Mateo celebrations.

This initiative forms part of the University of La Rioja’s commitment to strengthening the visibility of EU-GIFT in its territory and bringing the European University Alliance closer to citizens, connecting European cooperation with the cultural and social life of La Rioja.
