Recruiting Day Verona Vicenza: EU-GIFT webinars explore the future of careers in agri-food and wine sectors

26th – 28th May 2026

Recruiting Day Verona Vicenza returns online from May 26 with a new series of webinars dedicated to emerging professional profiles and career opportunities in the agri-food and wine sectors. The initiative is promoted within the framework of EU-GIFT Alliance (European University for Geographical Identity as a driver for Food systems Transition to sustainability), the European University alliance focused on sustainability, innovation, and international collaboration in food systems and territorial development.

More than 160 companies are currently seeking talents and professionals for internships and employment opportunities through the Recruiting Day platform. Alongside company showcases and open positions, this edition introduces three online roundtables bringing together experts, entrepreneurs, academics, alumni, and industry professionals to discuss how the world of agri-food and viticulture is evolving and which skills are increasingly valued by employers.

The webinars will take place online via Zoom on May 26, 27, and 28 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. (Rome time) and will be freely accessible through the Recruiting Day portal.

The first webinar on May 26, “The Future of Agri-food: Soft Skills and Emerging Professional Profiles for Companies”, will focus on the competencies most sought after by agri-food companies during recruitment processes. While technical expertise remains important, particular attention will be dedicated to transversal skills — including communication, adaptability, teamwork, and problem-solving — which are becoming increasingly central in talent selection.

On May 27, the webinar “Present and Future of Careers in the Wine Sector: From Production to Territorial Management” will examine how professional roles such as winemakers, agronomists, and marketing managers have evolved over the last decade, offering insights into new trends shaping the labour market in the viticulture and wine industries.

The final webinar on May 28, “New Career Opportunities in a Changing Agri-food Sector: Entrepreneurship and Technology”, will explore emerging professional pathways linked to technological innovation, services, start-ups, and self-entrepreneurship, highlighting opportunities that extend beyond traditional production companies.

The full programme is available on the University of Verona dedicated event page.
