International project meeting held in Cluj-Napoca as part of the EU-GIFT project
An international project meeting was held in Cluj-Napoca between February 17 and 19, organized by the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Cluj-Napoca (USAMV CN). The meeting was held as part of the EU-GIFT project, which aims to develop an innovative virtual campus based on international cooperation and to strengthen knowledge sharing between educational institutions.
The EU-GIFT alliance was established through the cooperation of seven European higher education institutions with the aim of supporting the transition to sustainable food systems through knowledge and expertise based on geographical identity. The program builds on cooperation between different fields of expertise, combining research, education, and social responsibility to find answers to the current challenges facing the agri-food industry, with a particular emphasis on preserving and reinterpreting regional values.
During the three-day professional event, the international partners participating in the project joined the discussions both in person and online. The main focus of the program was to review the progress of the individual work packages (WP1–WP7) and to plan the next phase of the project.
During the discussions, participants reviewed the possibilities for cooperation between the individual work packages and the main aspects of creating a digital learning environment, which represents one of the key development areas of the project.
The project’s communication and dissemination activities also received special attention, including the development of a communication strategy, the operation of newsletters and online platforms, and the wider dissemination of the project’s results. In addition, participants discussed project quality assurance, evaluation processes, and the professional tasks planned for the next implementation period.
The meeting provided an opportunity for project partners to exchange experiences, engage in joint professional planning, and define the next milestones of the project. The results of the discussions will contribute to the further development of the project’s digital learning environment, including the virtual campus, which is expected to support international educational cooperation and the spread of innovative digital learning solutions in the long term.
